  For what it is, a small roadhouse in a little town, this is about as good as it gets. Great burgers and fries and a huge menu. They make some great dinner-size salads. My favorite is the southwest chicken Caesar. A really fun atmosphere on weekends and during the summer, when not much is going on in Borrego Springs, they host karioki.

  I mean you wont have a lot of options in the area. This is good enough for a lunch stop on a road trip but not something to seek out. Seating was awkward- we were left to the 'high booths'. These made us feel as though we were at some spectator event, onlooking all others as we waited a longer than typical wait for sandwiches. My Ruben was quite fatty and my order was not as I had requested but I feared an extended wait if I asked for a correction.

  A welcome desert oasis after an all day off-road excursion from Julian through Rodriguez and Oriflamme Canyons. The baby back ribs exceeded my expectations and we're on par with that of southern BBQ restaurants. So succulent the meat fell from the bone with minor effort. Hot savory dinner and ice cold IPA was a great way to end the day.
